Nouwen is one of my favorite authors - his essay, "Adam's Peace" helped shape the my thoughts on being as opposed to doing, particularly in regards to love.
anytime! i will have to pick up that book. i love what i've read of Henri Nouwen, but sadly it is mainly all quotes in other books. now i have a place to start! hoorah!
and last but not least, i'm also reading (very slowly and haphazardly) Return of the Prodigal, which he wrote after spending time meditating on Rembrandt's Prodigal Son painting. i think i misspelled Rembrandt. you'd think, with all the tooth-whitening commercials . . .

i'm not sure which book houses "Adam's Peace" - i found it in an anthology - which you're welcome to borrow if you'd like.

it's a review of Adam: God's Beloved, in which the essay is contained.
