So the overall vibe here in Xalapa has definitely been more on the fearful side in the last couple days. My familiy is still here and we're still having tons of fun, but every time I get back from some great, happy outing and talk to one of my friends, there's some other shitty new thing. That is craziness going on. I'm like you, I don't really know much about it, but people sure seem to be panicking.

Also, I've heard that Purell and the like aren't really that great to use in excess...that they create super-bacteria or something.

Yeah, I've heard the same thing - but I think they're talking about in general, like the fact that so many people are using it now is bad because the bugs are evolving. But for epidemics like this there really isn't an alternative when there's no soap in the bathroom at a restaurant! :S
