The House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast is amazing! An interesting take on the vampire mythology, and very very well written!

Also, the Goddess Summoning series by P.C. Cast ... romance novels that take Greek mythology, throw in a little modern world, and a whole lot of humor!

If you're into supernatural and/or vampires I'd say any books by Richelle Mead she has a series Vampire Academy just having the final book released today! And two adult series one with faeries the other Succubus and other creatures.
