apart from that its a pain in the so and so as you need to remaster the files into a format that your player recognises probably SVCD and DVD.
none of the software that i have found will do this in any find of user friendly way its all daft geeky settings.
The other thing you can do that is probably eaisest of all is plug your lappy in to the telly.
It probly has a TV out port, most modern lappies do. and you should have been given a SVID cable (looks a bit like the end of a keyboard cable) with your machine. If not your local dick smiths will probably have one in stock.

i happened to be talking to my dad today about this anyway. he said: movies normally only fit on two dvds (the ones you buy are double layered). However, if you have nerovision express it will shrink it for you (nero 6). Otherwise http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html is freeware
However the big resource is Doom9.net - The definitive DVD backup resource (http://www.doom9.org/). Hope some of that is helpful.

I do have Roxio Mydvd on the puter which should do it, but I have a couple of issues with it. Have searched on various chat sites about it, but you ARE the original computer spod and have always fixed my puters in the past, so I think its only fair you should continue to do so (heehee). You may be able to point me in better directions for fixing these little piddly problems.
I'm on yahoo as yazramm and on msn as beckymarsay@hotmail.com (i think)
