(Warning, this is a crack spoiler. That means that there is a very high possibility that it won’t make it into the story. I don’t know what possessed me even think of it in the first place.)
It took a few minutes for the rumbling to stop, but even then, no one dared to move from their positions. Harry could just barely make out the outlines of the others in the dark chamber with what little light was left after the violent cave-in. Someone was coughing (no, make that someones), but that could have been due to the dust in the air. He hoped that it wasn’t anything serious.
Suddenly, a wayward, completely irrelevant thought struck him. He blinked, looking for his best friend and was rewarded when Ron’s tall form came into view.
“Well, Ron,” Harry started saying very seriously, eyeing the debris all around them as the dust settled down. “I remember something you said earlier.”
Ron froze and looked in his direction, squinting from the lack of available light. “What is it? Something happen, mate?” Ron had a panicky edge to his voice as if Harry had just announced the fact that Voldemort was coming to get them even while they spoke.
“Yes,” Harry responded. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, it seems that you had better have a heart attack now.”
It took a few seconds for Ron to fully understand just what Harry was referring to, mainly because the joke was so out of place in this dire situation.
“You bloke! Shut your trap! I didn’t think that Malfoy would actually help us like that! I said that because it was the most absurd thing that could happen at the time!”
There was a cough - closer this time - that didn’t sound like the ones from before. Ron and Harry turned their heads towards the third figure who was trying very hard not to tap his feet in impatience.
“I’m right here, you know.”
