Some Writing Tips

People!  Believe it or not, the rules and guidelines you learn in English class for academic papers and such are things you should probably follow when writing fiction.  (With the exception of experimenting with said rules/guidelines.)

Your paragraphs don't necessarily have to have a "topic sentence," but if you make claims (some might call it an " ( Read more... )

I wasn't referring specifically to you! :(

I was getting fed up with some not-yet-professional writers who had a lot more exposure to writing classes than I, and yet couldn't manage to sort our their homophones.

So sorry if I distressed you.
