So I'm starting to have a bit of a life. I made my first ever home made soup, entirely created from my brain...kinda.
I was trying to think of something to cook in my new crock pot that my awesome fiance purchased for my enjoyment...and his stomach. The only things we have are: cereal, milk, mayo, lunch meat, cheese, tomato soup, flour, chicken, pasta, spinach, and various spices. I am not kidding. So, I figure I will cook some chicken like I used to do in the oven with a technique my ex-husband and I so ingeniously designed. But then I figure the chicken should be covered so I add water so it's kind of like sitting in a broth of chipotle seasonings from McCormick. 4 hours later, the chicken looks good...really good. Until I pierce it with a fork and it all falls apart, like pulled pork, except this isn't pork. But I figured Ryan could just make a sandwich out of it, except I hate meat sandwiches like that. So I dump in our can of corn! Oh shit, wtf is it? WHAT TO DO!? I know! Make it a soup. I reached for the Campbell's can of tomato but then I recall my experiment with curried vegetables...screw tomato soup. Then roommate walks in and I successfully acquire his can of stewed tomatoes. This will be good. I know it will. So plop those in there too. So while I never remember the chicken being spicy, the soup has so much kick if you breath in while eating it your throat catches on fire, but good nonetheless. I eat it, Ryan eats it, roommate eats it. Success. And they like it.
Then today said fiance and I get lunch, ponder America's political system and universal health care, and then he gets talking about Canada and how much he likes it there. So why don't we just move to Canada? It's definitely a possibility. I'd like to learn some French.
Then we took our first ever trip to Sweet Bay. Pretty expensive like publix but they arrange their produce in baskets and it smells good in the store, amazing, I know. Then we came home, lit the room with candles, and talked, and other unmentionable acts. And then finished off the night with the AIDS episode of South Park. I love my man :-D.
