Creationism just doesn't make sense to me. One of my friends mocks the theory of evolution, and spins it as if it's some fuckin' urban legend. Even if you look through the last 200 years, you can see even athletically, we've evolved. I bet you fucking Abraham Lincoln couldn't run a 4 minute mile. And he had long legs, too.

yay science!
Boo bible!
that single celled organism made me think... could we quite possibly no completely understand our surroundings? I mean, I'm not knocking human achievements or intelligence, but what if were are only grasping a small portion of a bigger reality? The single celled organism knows only what it can develop upon due to its lack of seeing the whole picture. What if we as humans, who tend to gush over our "profound" existence and achievements, are missing out on something so huge that our brains can't even begin to grasp it?
....
maybe that's why religion exists- as a way of coming to terms with a higher reality otherwise unexplainable.

Whoa... I just crapped my pants...

that is precisely the point I was leading up to but left out for this post. i didn't want it to be too long. but yes, our mammalian brains can't even conceptualize the true workings of the universe (from the smallest particle to the largest super cluster). We *think* we have it all correct but my wager is that those speculations are way off considering there is still no scientifically accepted definition of the mechanics of gravity.
