The Matrix: Reloaded

Okay, no plot. NONE. Sub-par at best acting (except Laurence Fishbourne, that man is so freaking awesome). Very few high points. The slow down, stop, rotate the camera 360, back to normal speed fight scene angels were reused in the exact same way as the first. Nothing special there. The fight scenes themselves were really rather cinematographically ( Read more... )

there was a plot, the movie was an extension from the first one, so its plot lived through this one while developing on it...Neo's quest to figure out his role in the matrix as well as the defense of Zion, which will be concluded in the 3rd one. The Wachowski brothers wanted to make it like one big 8 hour movie. Which i'll probobly watch 40 times like i did the first Matrix.

I agree the humor in the movie was great....."where's my pus.....Hey!"...:D

and where can i get some of that cake??

that movie oozes with plot! the whole movie is one big plot...and the architect does a fine job in explaining it i believe.

i agree fighting scenes could have been shorter.

'holy shit he caught her!' funny stuff.

good cake...good cake...~l'il missy

I am the most hard-core Star Wars fan here and I don't think that's debatable... Yes, it's story does parallel the story of Star Wars some. But to be quite honest... How else would a space epic trilogy go? I mean... when you have one hero... The first part he discovers himself... the second he realizes he isn't invincible... And in the third part he overcomes. It was a great movie and yes, for people who don't appreciate the art of the fight scenes, they could get a little tedious to watch. For me (and my father since we love this shit) it's more about the story which is totally different from Star Wars on the micro scale... The shear ingenuity to say that our lives are a dream world computer program where everything is possible... I'm sorry but I think you could actually discuss Matrix Theory... The complexity of everything that goes on it that movie... Ok, so it's a computer program right? And it has rules... So Neo and the rest of them break these rules... What does that mean? It means they are hackers... They are computer ( ... )

It's all a big 'what if'.... 311actorjunkie May 20 2003, 08:15:39 UTC
and I challenge you to find a meaningful insight into the human condition...the kind of stuff that makes the good movies....

P.S. Q: Agent Smith's notion of humankind being a virus is pre-dated by who?

it's second chances... sure maybe it doesn't hit home or at best it's kind of a shrug of the shoulders whatever response to the insight but it's there if you really want it to be... the scene with the architect was great... at least i thought so... all of his predecessors had done it the other way... he was told it can't be done... and he did it anyway and of course, we all know, he will succeed in the end otherwise those wakowski bros. will have hell to pay...
