You can do it. And think of all the things you can buy with that extra money.
Perhaps you should set up a rewards system. Like for every week you don't smoke, you get a treat like a new cd or a manicure. And then for one month, you can have a massage or something.
When I was doing WW, I had a friend that set up a three pound reward system. It was just little things like going to the library or having coffee with a friend, but it gave her something to look forward to that was easily attainable. We often set big goals like when I lose 30 pounds or when I save this much money or when I can run this many miles, but there isn't much to look forward to on a day to day, week to week basis. So yeah, set up a small rewards system so you can say, I did this, now I can do that.
Thanks, Kelly! That's a great idea. I'm thinking rewards at first might be buying a magazine or going to the movies. Now, I'm getting excited...haha...at least it doesn't take much.
Yeah, just do small, low-cost things that are a treat just for you. A movie or magazine sounds like a great idea.
On a related note, do you know who has magazines for really cheap? Half Price Books. And the one in Richardson has the best selection. Better than the Northwest Highway store. Someone in the area must immediately read and donate her magazines because I can often find the latest issue of Real Simple and Allure there. She's my Magazine Fairy.
