They did love each other. They really did.
Perhaps it was difficult for them to get together, but in the end they were together.
Completely in love.
Everything went well ...
Until a moment came, everything had changed. Regular phone calls decreased, waiting after school for each other didnt happen at all and they grew apart.
Jiyong. He loved him.
Him, the boy who lived three blocks away, the boy he met when he was 13, the boy who became his best friend, the boy who had his first kiss, the boy who was his great love, the boy who called; Youngbae. Sometimes mentioned by Jiyong as Bae.
Everything was perfect.
They were together, even though it was impossible. But not for them.
They loved each other.
Yes, they did.
Yet they grew suddenly, quietly, unnoticed apart.
Those times were the hardest, most painful for Jiyong. He missed him very much. But at the age pg eighteen, he could best think as an adult about their long relationship and knew it was already lost and over.
Lost.
The tears he let fall every day in his darkroom under his blankets, had to stop now. He didn't want to think, and hope that everything will be fine. Because he knew it was impossible. Gosh. He hated that word, impossible.
Everything in this relationship was impossible.
Yes. It became obvious to him when he saw him, Youngbae, that day with another. They were laughing in front of the dance school they always went. They were smiling to each other like... Like Jiyong and he did before.
With his sports bag in his hands, Jiyong looked secretly behind the wall to the two who were laughing together. His heart just stopped beating when Youngbae grabbed her hand and gave her a big hug. Tears filled his eyes as he turned quickly before he was caught. He swallowed and grabbed his bag harder. Did he want to express me^^ something? He brought her here just to show me that it already is over...
Is it over?
A tear fell from his eye as he hopelesy, crushed dropped against the wall.
He didn't want to lose him.
But...
"Hey,"
"Oh. Hey, Ji."
It had to happen, I must do it. This was what Jiyong thought before knocking on his door. And now he sat on his bed as he sat down beside him. He had to say. Before he does. Maybe he will feel less pain then. Can it be?
"Bae~"
"Yes ..."
"What will you do if I leave you?"
Jiyong looked quietly at his face as Youngbae just frowned and then looked at him casually. Jiyong didn't understand his expression.
"I will return to my ex,"
He didn't expect that. He closed his open mouth and opened them again to say something, but Jiyong couldn't Jiyong release something. It did not work. His heart raced like a mad as he looked away with teared eyes and played with his fingers. "I~" he mumbled and got up quickly. It was already over. "Okay,"
And this was the last conversation they had for the past two days. These days, Jiyong didn't go to school. He stayed in bed all the time, he couldn't eat something, did not want to see someone, did not feel anything to say or to do. He lost his best friend, his first love. Did it really have to hurt so much?
With big red eyes, he stood up and walked silently to his mirror. A knock on his door made him look up.
His eyes fixed on the ground, he quietly opened the door and a smell filled his nose, a voice echoed in his ears, as he looked slowly but surprised up. Speechless, he looked at him. He ... Was here? Why? Was it all done with his girlfriend? Was he sorry? He came here to laugh at his face? What does he want? What...
"Ji."
"What are you doing here?"
"I told you, I will go to my ex when it is over."
Silence.
Silently they sat together on the bed. "Who ... Who was that girl?"
"Ah. My cousin, Bom. She had just arrived from America. I told you, right?"
I'm so happy! My cousin is coming back. She is really nice. I'll let you guys meet, Ji.
Jiyong looked again at him. How stupid was he?
"I..."
"No. Listen."
Jiyong looked at him when he felt a warm hand on his shoulder. A shiver went through his body. I missed you, he wanted to say but stayed silent.
"I expected that this would happen. I just wanted to give you some time and space. But... When you asked me that question, Ji ... I ... Oh god, I thought you were going to understand when I answers to you... But, you got up and walked away. ... I, I can not leave you. I'm sorry. I'll do everything to get you back even if you do not love me anymo~"
Abruptly, he stopped taling when he felt Jiyong in his arms. Felt his lips. Jiyong kissed him with such love that Youngbae thought he no longer was feeling. While kissing, Jiyong hooked his arms around his neck as Youngbae brought him closer by his waist.
"I'll never let you go. Understand me?"
Smiling, Jiyong broke the kiss and a tear fell down as he slowly nodded. Youngbae leaned his forehead against his, breathing in and out smelling the scent he missed so much. "I never leave you." he whispered for the last time as looked straight in the teared eyes of Jiyong and wiped them away with his thumb.
"I-I ... B-Bae"
"I love you too."
