One of my mom's friends told my mom (who told me) that she hoped I'd "meet someone really special when I go down to New Orleans" next week.

"Wouldn't that be great? If Shelby could meet someone really special?"

When mom told me, I acted kind of embarrassed, like it wasn't that big of a deal.
