Okay, so I suggest you get in touch with the bursar's office asap and ask them about applying. Let them know your situation and see what you can do to figure out how much aid they'll give you. Pretty much everyone gets some financial aid, unless your dad is incredibly wealthy (which, I don't know, maybe he is now, but as far as I know he's just moderately well-off). You also need to get in touch with your dad and tell him that, if he's not helping you financially, you are no longer a dependent and he needs to stop claiming you as one and fucking you over.
I'm so sorry about all of this, but try to stay calm. Though my parents aren't as financially well-off as your dad is, they claim me as a dependent and I get shitloads of aid. I really do think you'll be okay in the RIT department. Now you just need to get the medical bill and car situation fixed somehow. :(
I know it doesn't help pay the bills, but I love you. &hearts
i already applied. and after this year, he can no longer claim me anymore anyway because i'll be 21. i told him to stop in the past, but he obviously didn't listen because he doesn't care if it fucks me over. he just cares that it helps him. he is ridiculously poor right now because he is in so much debt because of michele, but i'm worried because he makes enough that they might not give me very much or any aid. and then i don't know what i'm going to do. i guess i'm taking out student loans. which i have no idea how to do.

If there's anything I can do (though, really, I don't know what I could do), let me know.
