There's a huge difference between having him physically with me and having him two hours away. Think of how you missed Joey when you went to your mom's, only for four months instead of one, and way worse (because you had just met Joey). Just thinking about it makes me feel sick.

Also, that's really weird about his mom. She seems like an odd character. Try to avoid her when you're on vacation, I guess, haha. There's really nothing else you can do to avoid the awkwardness.

yah, there's no way to avoid her. there's no one else there and no where else to go.
