Gosh, come to think of it, I was the stupid person defending slang, but those ppl really got on my nerves - it was more principle than anything else...

I dunno, the shortcuts bother me but there's no way to stop it. I've just come to accept it. I don't use it though. The only thing I tend to say that isn't a word is "dunno" but that's just how I speak. I don't say "I don't know", well I do sometimes. But you know what I mean. Shortcuts are unavoidable.

Exactly! I don't use shortcuts, but I don't yell at other people for using them, and I definitely don't think that people (they weren't even MODs) in random communities should start requesting that people stop using shortcuts.
