The Standard is up and Running!!!

            Saturday was the "Picnic on the Green" event which consisted of village cricket, a rapier championship and a heavy tournament. It was a very fun event! Unfortunately due to my ethnic heritage (being American and all :P) I'm not the best cricket player, nor do i really understand the game, but i gave it a go lol. The heavy tournament was

Backyard, Beach and Period cricket are all easy.
If it's your turn to bat - hit the ball and run tothe end of the line. Whack the end of the line with the bat to prove you were there, then run back and do the same to the other end of the line. Continue until someone has the ball again and looks like they might hit you with it.

If it's not your turn to bat, it might be your turn to bowl. In which case, run a bit and then throw the ball as hard as you can at the person with the bat. They'll probably hit it, but there is a chance the ball will hit them first.

If it isn't your turn to bat or bowl, then pick a spot around the running bit. You job is to try to catch the ball, then hit the end of the line with the ball before they can hit it with the bat.

Apparently there's something called teams and scoring, but I don't think it's very important.
