Ok, I really want everyone to be calm about this.  I am going to list those potential 'ships that could be explored in this story.  Obviously, we can’t have them all.  Please be nice about this.  I’m going to list those I can think of.  Then I’m going to add a comment with my personal preferences, and the arguments for those.  I encourage everyone

Now personally I don't see Slytherins going outside of their house. I think there is just too much tension going on for that to happen.

If they did I think it would be with a Ravenclaw. I just think there is too much animosity with the Gryffindors for it to happen and I just can't see a Slytherin/Hufflepuff pairing.

Hannah I don't see her with Neville. She would go out with a Gryff, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw. Not Zach. I was very disappointed in Zach. She would date someone within the DA.

I was always under the assumption that Hannah/Ernie was a canon couple. They always seem to be around each other...

They are good friends some would say best friends but there is no evidence that they are actually dating.

Draco/Pansy I think would be interesting to explore a little more. We can probably assume that they don't end up together, since Harry doesn't specifically recognize Draco's wife on the platform. Possibly they broke after the Malfoys had a change of heart?

I think that Neville and Draco will both be too busy being far too old for 17 year olds, but I could see Draco carrying on with a Slytherin girl, probably Pansy, to get his stress out. I don't think Draco and Pansy are right for each other in the least, but I can see them using each other as a mutual comfort zone. Maybe Draco has a growing longing for a non-Slytherin girl, but he'd have a hard time getting anyone from the other 3 houses.
Luna/Dean is not something I'm married to, but I can see them being friends, Dean maybe taking refuge from reality in listening to Luna's stories. Definately not Luna/Neville. It's far too pat.
Someone should be madly in love with Lavender so that when Greyback eats her face it's a fairly angst moment. And because, for all her faults, she's gotta be good looking if Ron dated her.

Really, so long as it's not Padma/Parvati, I could probalby get into any pairing.

I'd vote for Neville/Luna, I keep thinking of Luna's ceiling and the fact Neville already knew that Luna was safe when he meets Harry because of the message she'd sent him

Draco/Zacharias Smith -- Very interesting; possibly a one night stand? Obviously, it would be taken out but I'm sure we could mention a little note about 'Zacharaias glancing at Draco every afternoon in Potions.'

Lavender/Seamus -- I would see them possibly getting together, but then I would love to see Seamus be mad at Lavender for dating Ron the previous year, since Seamus went with Lavender to the Yule Ball. So I figured a big fight throughout their whole seventh year and a big make-up scene at the end of the battle.

Seamus/Pansy -- As I read above, I saw that someone posted Pansy hating it, but loves sex and if Draco wasn't going to commit, maybe she move on to an Irish boy? I love this idea; a little Draco vs. Seamus 'glare' and the fact that Seamus is trying to make Lavender jealous? Very cleaver.
