Nate just got hit by a car while on his moped. Like, head smashed into the windshield, not really moving much. Garrett and Andy and everyone are taking him to the hospital right now.

I just discovered that there's a Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies certificate (aka minor) at Madison! That means after this and next semester I'd be done with 3 of the 7 classes I'd need for it (1 interdisciplinary survey, 3 history/social science courses, 3 literature/arts courses), I'd get to keep taking more Russian ( Read more... )

Hunting for antique jewelry (me) and records (him), making breakfast sandwiches at my house, watching "Hackers", rocking out to Wham! and laughing my ass off at his ridiculous 80s-esque dance moves, sledding by my house, sharing Bukowski and Dostoevsky and coffee and pie, being goofy together and getting closer.

I don't care if it's the honeymoon stage, this is awesome. I like this boy a lot and neither of us have been this happy in a long time.

I just saved my paper on African prostitution (it's about their empowerment in it, so it's okay to make fun) as "Bitches Ain't Nothin' but Tricks and Hos" and cracked up for like 5 minutes.

It just snowed for the first time of the season. There's a certain quietness in the mornings that puts me in a silent, contemplative mood that I like.
