Oh yeah, I requested my medical records from a doctor's office and turns out there was a mix up. I'll be receiving somebody else's records and somebody else will be receiving mine.

They left a message for me to destroy the ones I'll be receiving.

Great way to promote identity theft!

Jesus! Seriously, who's to say you'll actually destroy those ones? Idiots.

You could put a freeze on your SSN, so that no new accounts can be opened without calling you.

How hard can it be to mail the right records to the right person anyways?? Geez.

Apparently reallly hard. I don't know why, but I can still be amazed at the stupidity of people.

Maybe I could sue. But that'd be a lot of work. If somebody steals my identity, at least I'll know who did it.

I don't know! But I don't even know if the person who got mine will destroy them. They might just throw them away whole and then somebody else who found them could steal my identity. I'm super paranoid that my identity is going to get stolen :/

I would definitely be worried as well. Just do your best to keep an eye out.

You could seriously sue the place too!
