[Rachel has been thinking. Cassie's here. Her friend. She's been put in here and she can't morph her way out. But, Cat was here. She was visiting her...visiting and she cared.
She doesn't know what to think.
So she's got her arms wrapped around her knees staring blankly into space.]

And Zero. The last time he was in Zero, he was under Rex's nanomite control, and had just received a warden. He'd been waiting to be released. His entire tenure as an inmate had been spent passively and irritable and he had hated it. But now he's not.
He comes in to Zero holding his warden item (which its existence irritates him in slightly- it's the remote he used to control his holographic model of Dylan) and goes to stand in front of her cell.]

The wound is gone. She morphed out of it when she turned into a wolf and it came back fresh and clean. She'd been exhausted. Staring at her wrist, she turns back to him and tilts her head to the side casually, blonde hair falling into her eyes.
She brushed the hair out with the back of her hand and smiled. A terrible smile. A manic and wild smile.]

[And he leaves it at that as he pulls up a chair. He crosses his legs as he sits, folding his hands on his knee. If there was a scrap of High Guard left in him, the very least he could do was put on the airs of a superior officer.]
What's a Yeerk? And no deranged rambling about how they're the masters and overlords of this ship. I've done my fair share of fighting hostile races and it would help if I knew what they were. If you don't tell me what a Yeerk is like a responsible, sane soldier, I'll ask the other that changes shape and see if he will. You gather intelligence where you can.

An expression of pure unadulterated hatred crosses her face before lowers her feet delicately to the floor and stares out defiantly at him. Ever seen an animal look out from a cage Rhade? That's the look she's giving you.]
A yeerk is a parasite. A self-invading parasite that doesn't have a host. They invade human and alien species and use their minds against them. They control them-force the humans to do what they don't want to do. They make them, monsters.
They've enslaved dozens of worlds. [There's a lot more about how they're pawns in an even bigger game.]
I fought them. I should have destroyed them.
