You, Madam, are my hero[ine]. You've outdone us all, courting controversy in a manner befitting of a Highlighter. Moreover, I've seen few things as terrifically amusing as those cartoons, or the editorial in response to the broo-ha-ha over the issue. You're a role model to us all, and I do mean that will all due sincerity.

I continue to monitor the developing situation at The Alligator with utter fascination. Your column was really quite good, but more amusing was the search I made just on the word "cartoon" - I love that your newspaper has been courting controversy for many a years simply by way of the editorial cartoons - and they're all really, really, really good cartoons, as well. I hope you are (continuing) to survive the situation with all due grace. Keep up the good fight & whatnot-
