another sleepless encounter. the sun is going to rise soon and i have the great fortune of watching a spectacle of lights danse across the morning sky.
except being a threat to my sanity, insomnia is not all bad. there are some delectable things to be enjoyed when sleep doesn't get in the way of living.
for example...
i've done much, a great number of productive things in fact, things i wouldn't have otherwise done such as neurotically redoing my room.
i also finished Marianne's portrait, although it looks nothing like her except may be her nose a little bit. it could definitely use tons more work. but i'm getting carpel tunnel, i think. or however you spell the sucka.
despite this, im sort of satisfied with how it turned out and especially like the fact that it has an unfinished quality to it. thats probably a bad thing but even if it is who cares.
i am also very pleased with the shopping i did last weekend. i bought a pack of charcoal.
it's my favorite to work with. and tons more stuff. though i left without an oil paintbrush. i cant afford it right now. its only a measley brush but mighty in price. i have to be super frugal these days since im trying to save up for a one way ticket to Rennes (i hope that theres a good chance they'll offer me a position even though i dont exactly meet all the requirements). well, i expect to make more sacrifices as May approaches.
anyway, certain kinds of stores and shopping send a jolt all across my body. im super enthusiastic about shopping for school and art supplies. furniture too. i race about the aisles like a graceful hyena.
