Apparently at that parade when the end of the war was announced, everyone just started making out. The original prints from that photographer sent into Time Magazine included like 100 random kiss pictures and that one I guess was the best, so it became the one they chose. I think in the original Time Magazine there were 3 or 4 kiss pictures, and that one was the biggest...so it's really not as special as everyone thinks. Heehee.
