Your PT sounds very similar to the program I was assigned to after my second hip surgery. At times, it's probably going to get a bit discouraging, but just keep at it. These things usually start out slowly, and then all of a sudden, you'll feel a surge of strength and flexibility, and all of the exercises will get much easier. One important thing to keep in mind is to only push yourself to the point in which you feel comfortable, and don't let the therapists push you into doing anything that is too painful or physically demanding for you.
