Thank you! In this canon, werewolves are the only supernatural creatures, so of course I had to introduce vampires somehow ;D I actually now have a plot bunny to completely flesh this out and make it a multi-chapter fic. It'll have to get in line behind a few others I'm writing/planning, though.

Love this. You've totally blanked that age old werewolf v vampires thing and went with the mate bond overpowering anything else.

I'm so glad you liked it! I really do want to explore this 'verse, especially how Stiles came to even be a vampire and what happened to his sire. He's gonna have to know all the ins and outs of being a vampire, after all.

I definitely think their mate bond would trump any genetic predisposition for their species to hate each other :)

I used to love vampires! For my A-Level Media Studies I wrote a piece of coursework on media portrayal of vampires, focusing on Buffy the Vampire Slayer but drawing other media references. I done similar studies when I moved on to university studing their history etc. Of course I studied all supernatural things (I also have a fascination with fairies, my grandma used to take me to where they lived and played as a little girl and she so firmly believed in them that I know they exist too) but vampires were my focus.

Until Twilight came out. Sorry if you're a fan but I just got so sickened of the whole vampire thing then. At the time I watched the first and second movie together I was reading the Sookie Stackhouse books and I started to wonder why the vampire always got the girl.

If you do go on to explore vampire Stiles, and I really hope you do, I think you would restore some of my love for them because they get each other.

Awesome! I was thinking in Season 2 we might have vampires, since most urban fantasy shows end up having both.

Derek had taken off his shirt and pressed it to his wrist until the wound healed.
Ha ha ha, I can totally see the writers of the show doing this. ^^

A thing I really like in this fic and in the few TW stories I've read is how strong the notion of pack is. I mean, it's in the show, but it doesn't really feel warm in canon, what with the evil uncle and everything...

I loved this!! Derek offering his blood to Stiles just showed how close their mate bond is... it was such an intimate and very sensual moment between them. Also I love how they are all interacting as a full fledged family here as well... great job, really well written!! :D
