Well this sucks!

I’m almost tempted to make that my entire review for Divided Loyalties, but I can’t let it go there. I need to explain…no I don’t, I need to vent.

If anyone has read my reviews of Babylon 5 they are aware that I love the character of telepath Talia Winters. Right from the first time I saw her in Midnight on the Firing Line (the first ( Read more... )

Oh, my poor guy! I was having moments of dread knowing that this was going to happen whenever you were so happy about Ivania! It was such a lovely potentail relationship, and it was torpedoed really thoroughly, not nice at all to watch.

I did think of the Delenn/Sheridan "date" when you predicted an interspecies romance, and I think I gave you a point for it in your predictions at the start of the season as there is certainly something bubbling under the surface there.

My ship hasn't even got all it's component parts yet, let alone looking like it may sail...

J. Michael Straczynski's a very bad man! Your ship doesn't even have all it's bits? Now that is intriguing.

I also felt bad every time you enthused about Ivanova/Talia, knowing what was going to happen to Talia's character. I loved her so much at the time I was watching B5 on the air, and the fact that the same sex romance was hinted at meant a lot to me for personal reasons. Which a friend at school then helped make sure I didn't share with anyone for a few more years because of her extreme disappointment and disapproval of the suggestion.

Referring to a later post, I am also a fan of the Delenn/Sheridan ship. I think it was really my only main ship interest on the show. Well, apart from one platonic one that is my favorite story arc of the series, and another involving a character you haven't met yet.

I think I was more shocked than anything. It just totally blind sided me.

I'm wondering if your other ship is the same as my wife's which hasn't eventuated yet. I really do like Delenn and Sheridan and am desperately hoping I haven't doomed one of them by voicing it publicly.

I'm not sure if it's the same ship, one of the component parts may be the same, but I think it's pairing with different people. And no, will not be clearer than that at the moment!

I do have another ship too, but that's only partially-assembled at the moment and the pay-off (good/bad/indifferent - won't tell u which way it goes) happens in one of the movies, and I don't know if we're going to watch them or not at the moment.
