36 pages of handwritten algebra, waaay to many hours of hunting for stupid arithmetic mistakes, and 1800 lines of numerical-checking code, and I have finally finished the ugly-a** integral of doom which was my vacation homework from my previous rotation

Clearly the answer is to take quantum effects into account, so that Mathematica's hamsters can't be sure if the integral is alive or not until it's too late.
