democracy makes me tired

There. After 1.5 hours of freezing my rear off in line I've finally voted in my first election ever. Yay. Now I'm gonna go eat leftover cake - cake makes the democratic process all better.

Congratulations! When did you get citizenship?

Right before I turned 18. But every previous election the bureacracy managed to get screwed up and I didn't get my registration / ballot in time. Actually, I didn't get it this time either but for the first time I'm actually living in the same county where I'm voting so I could go do it in person.

So very very true. Imagine how much of a better world we would have if all political processes had a two-piece-of-cake minimum :-D. Or at least a two-drink-minimum, House of Parliament style.
