I'm not in work today as I managed to fall sideways down some stairs outside our old flat and I can now not put much weight on my right foot... driving into work was not an option ( Read more... )

I did indeed. We went for Sunday lunch with some friends and then in the evening we went with Andy to the Imax to watch V for Vendetta - great film!

Overall a fanstatic weekend.

I'm just about to e-mail you and Michelle about tonite...

I'm glad to see that you liked V for Vendetta - I thought it was one of the best fims to have come out of Hollywood in years ...

Admittedly they had toned down some of the more overt parts of the story (it's such a shame that they cut the scene where a policeman dropped a load of acid and wandered around the detention centre where V was tortured) and the end sequence was a little cheesy for my taste, but I thought it was a very good adaptation of the graphic novel, which is well worth a read if you enjoyed the film :)

Yeah I may well read it at some point. Its definitely a film we will be buying when its out on DVD :)

Somehow your icon melded with your comment at first glance, so I had to check when my brain saw "I love to hear that you're in pain" ...

My glasses are in the opticians being repaired - it's my excuse & I'm sticking to it ;)
