i know, i know. i haven't updated properly in a while, and i will, later on tonight perhaps. i have to have dinner, and make a couple calls, do some work for tomorrow. then i'll have a moment to write down all that has happened in the last few weeks and why i've been so quiet.quiet about my own thoughts and where i am these days in my head.

just to let you know- everything is a-ok now. if you heard otherwise on the news, we are fine, lockdown is over and as far as we know, the suspect has been apprehended. everyone is ok, but the students were worrying about their exams, which was pretty cute. more details later.

well, i'm back at work. it's been a jonah week. i don't know if you know the story of jonah and the whale or if you read anne of green gables. in the book anne of avonlea, anne has a bad day at school and calls it a jonah day. i guess it's a day of trials and tribulations for anne. it seems....that this has been a week of it and i hope it ends soon ( Read more... )

today i'm really cranky and i don't know why
i feel like i should be marking or doing lesson plans for january. and organizing my courses for next semester. or something. i'm saving the baking til tomorrow when matt is at home. it will be our first time christmas baking together.
i'm going to lie down and hopefully the crankiness will dissipate

I have a quick question. A friend of mine is struggling with Chinese beetles. They strongly resemble ladybugs and they are busy infesting her apartment. She lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and even though winter is fast approaching, they are still there. Does anyone know what will kill them and prevent them from returning?
