 [It's been a very quiet life for now, and the weather's been very nice for the most part.  Thirteen's decided to take back up his hobby of fishing at one of the lakes.  It's relaxing, gets him out of the house, and helps cure boredom.  For the most part.  But regardless, in the morning, he'll be in the general store shoring up the supplies he

[No, he most certainly won't be out there alone. A certain silver-haired Murakumo will be accompanying him, armed with fishing equipment of her own and... a black cat plushie currently sitting on the bag she was using to carry said equipment. Maybe it's supposed to act as a good luck charm of sorts? Who knows.

...Her Murakumo unit will remain nearby, hovering a little above the ground, but surely that won't bother anyone, right?

As for what ν-13 is actually doing right now... well, she's not actually fishing at the moment. Currently, she's simply sitting at the edge of the lake, staring out at the water.]

[Thirteen finishes baiting the hook on his fishing rod and with a flick of his wrist, casts out into the clear, clean lake water. After the telling plunk of the hook hitting the water, he relaxes, but glances over to Nu for a moment.

She'd brought that giant sword thing; the object that gave her that armored suit she wore into battle. ...Not that he could blame her. He still carried his own handgun concealed, after all.]

...Everything okay, Nu? You're quieter than usual today.

[It takes a moment for the question to register, but when it does, ν-13 actually turns to look at Thirteen.]

Affirmative. Nu is... [What was that word again...] ...fine.

[She just remembered something, that's all. Must be because she hasn't been here in a while...]

[Thirteen holds his gaze at her for a moment before turning it back to the lure bobbing gently in the water. She didn't give a mechanical status report. ...That's something, he supposed.]

All right, if you say so.

[Just as Thirteen is arriving home from his outing, Litchi is getting home from the clinic for the night. Considering that things have been significantly quieter lately than usual, it's been a long day of mostly just cleaning up and reading at the front desk, so she brightens quite a bit to see him. Here, Dave, have a warm smile in greeting as she stops to wait for him by the path up to the house.]

Looks like you did rather well today.

[yellowthirteen]

[He smiles back to her and gives her a slight wave as best he can manage with the stuff he's carrying.]

I suppose the Lady of the Lake was smiling. Didn't fish up any swords, though.

[Yes you did that Murakumo unit counts. Litchi chuckles softly, walking over to him.]

Such a shame. I suppose we'll just have to make due with the fish, hm? [Don't show Tao or nobody else will get any.]

Is there anything you need any help carrying in? You look awfully loaded down.

[He starts moving toward the house.]

I'm good. I've carried it this far, getting it back to the house is no problem!

[He's too prideful and proper to allow Litchi to carry this stuff. After all, she just got off from work. This was leisure for him.]

Not sure we have enough time to gut and scale the fish before dinner, but if nothing else we're set for tomorrow, right?

[ buffy happens to be passing through the village for a different reason but she has the time to stop and raise her brows a little at the fish haul. ]

Someone got pretty lucky, I guess. [ she hasn't spoken to the man in a while -- but she puts on a friendly smile. ]

[He pauses when Buffy speaks, and then laughs.]

Guess so! Though I think the fish would argue with you.

[slaying]

Oh -- with any luck they were miscreant fish and they got what was coming to them.

[yellowthirteen]

All else fails, we find them guilty of the crime of being delicious, right?

[Tsubaki's been home all day, sitting quietly with a book she hasn't really been reading. Thirteen's return home is a welcome distraction from her muddled thoughts. The last couple of weeks have been... well, interesting.]

Welcome home, David. How did it go?

[After he sets down all the gear, he holds up the bunch of fish he caught. ...They're wrapped in a plastic bag so they don't leak on the floor. He planned ahead.]

I'd say it was a complete success!

Really? I'm glad to hear it. [She comes over to get a closer look and give him a hand putting that gear away if need be.] And I'm sure Tao will be absolutely thrilled.

Yes, she will. Litchi and I are going to work on gutting and cleaning these fish before Tao sniffs them out. [He laughs lightly, then gives Tsubaki a smile.] Hope you don't mind fish for dinner, Tsubaki.

[He might come across another fisherman, while he's out around the lake. A rather short one, who makes up the height in hat. A very worn hat, notable for being stuck full of flowers.

He's using just a stick-and-line, not a fancy reel, but he manages it well. He looks up when he sees the other man.]

[Thirteen's admittedly very confused when he looks up and sees another fisherman at the lake.

He looks back at the other fisherman curiously. A rather short fellow... not that height makes much difference. ]

Uh... hello there.

Afternoon. [Snufkin nods, amiably, like it's the most usual thing in the world to be fishing at this lake. There's a very long pause (he isn't a sociable chap), but he eventually asks]
