It was so very awesome; I couldn't stop smiling. I sang along, clapped and bouced to the music in my set (had to be civilised when listening to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for the very first time). It was actually a lot of people's first time to see the MSO.
They started with one of my teen favourites - Every time you cry; and it only got better. Witty and humourous talk, cheesy motown moves and each performed a song special to them. Mike and Andrew performed an Everly Brothers song as they're brothers too. Toby performed a section of Caberet - he'd done the role a few years ago. Phil performed a Billy Joel song 'Lullaby (Goodnight my Angel)' dedicated to his young daughter, Willow. "When you say you love me" hit the bells list for me; and when they came back for the obligatory encore they started it with my dream song - Danny Boy, the one song I was hoping I'd get to hear live. It was a pleasant change from their usual vocal songs and their Motown. Then they ended on an upbeat and high clapping few numbers.
I was wonderful that they slipped in a few new covers. They were still well known songs that you can enjoy but gives you something new to enjoy.
The only bad thing about the show was that it was over way too soon; and that they was no memorabilia to buy except for signed cds, but I couldn't be bothered buying it when I've already got it (the 'A Symphony of Hits').
My only wish now is that I could go again tonight... But I'm already attending a birthday.
I'd definitely attend another Human Nature concert in the future. A truly great Australian vocal group.
My heart is still skipping today. I don't think it has to with just the wonderful and sunny (and another ridiculously hot 43 degree celcius day).
