Unfortunately another over 40 degree day on Saturday 7th February will go down in history not for just the hottest day ever recorded for Melbourne (at 47 degrees celcius), but at the worst bushfires ever experienced in Victoria. Two days later and fires are still threatening homes, people are waiting to hear if friends and family and dead or not and bodies are still being found. Over 100, 107 at the moment, are dead. That's over double that of the last Victorian bushfire distater - Ash Wednesday 1983.
At least tradegy reminds people to be nice humans, donating items and money and looking after each other - doing anything to help.
Actually, death toll is now 128 on the radio. Only a few minutes ago is was 107. It's horrific. So many dead in just one day.
