As it's all coming to end, I begin to think back on the beginning...

It seems that the closer I get to graduating, the more i tend to look back on how things were before I even started college. I look at pictures of the friends that I used to see every weekend or I go searching for the people that made a little dent in my life that I can only seem to temporarily push back into place by seeing what they're up to. I know exactly how you feel, and I hope you know you're a big part of why I consider that period of my life the happiest I've ever been. Of course, I don't wanna downplay things that have happened since then that have brought me immense joy, but as a whole I can honestly (albeit cheesily) call that a simpler time when sometimes it seemed we'd burst from excitement and elation from just being around eachother. I'm so grateful for all of that and everyone that contributed, though I also share mixed feelings about many of them, and I find trying to hold on to what's gone is often an exercise in self-torture.

Sorry if that was too honest(?)or wordy or whatever. You caught me in the midst of a writing mood, though I'm glad you did cus otherwise I might've thought twice about commenting.

I've ended a lot of journal entries the same way you did yours, in hopes of someone getting that that was my meek way of reaching out. So far no dice, but hopefully I've extended the sentiment to you.

You were able to in your "writing mood" write what I could not. Thats exactly how I feel. Its been so long since I've read people's journals (except lorena cuz she posts like everyday) but when I do it makes me kind of nostalgic for that time (which is probably why I don't read them much anymore).
