I know! But wait - I can get a 5 year work visa in Australia merely for having a degree? Even in English? This may require some investigation. Not that I want to pursue nursing merely for the doors that it opens. It's just that I am really really tired of being in Atlanta.

And are you wanting your 250 in Australian or American dollars?

Er, I should say, "it's just that I'm really tired of being in Atlanta, so I'm open to other escapes in the meantime before going to nursing school."

So good to hear about your life. What kind of house are you working in? I think we need a proper catch up sometime soon.

I'm the administrative assistant at a home for medically fragile babies who are in the custody of DFCS. We have 9 at the house right now and 1 in the hospital. The job is nothing to write home about, but the kids are wonderful, and I like my colleagues too. And we definitely need to catch up one of these days!

Mostly they don't go into the hospital. Just this one kid, really. But that's more than enough to keep me occupied with worry. I can't even begin to imagine how it must feel when it's a person's own child in the hospital. How do the parents cope?
