I got one... Googling CMU finds a page full of CS people who have gotten it, but apparently non CS people get them too...

Um, no. I was chair of a buggy org, and never heard about it until now. I suspect the "nominations by faculty & foo" means a) people need to know it exists to nominate you, and b) it is also dependent on demonstrating leadership in the classroom.

I got one! I don't know what the deal is either, something about faculty nominations... But I can't go to the reception, being out of town. Boo. No free food. Eat some food for me while you're there ;)
