Walked home in a storm. Lightening freaks me out. I don't care what anyone says, it will always freak me out. But that's ok, cause it makes a little more exhilarating to walk through a storm when you think that at any moment that light could get too close... One thing that is always strange to me is that locations do not change regardless of what has taken place there. If trees could talk...

How are you liking DC? I was on the phone with a friend from GW last night and she told me all about the lightning! I am so jealous!

i miss it so much already. where are you living?
you should try to make it out to adams morgan if you can - there's a great coffee shop called Tryst on 18th street. like open eye on steroids.

my address is Rockville but i'm technically half-way between the official city limits of Rockville and Bethesda, on Rockville Pike. I'll try to check out the coffee shop :-)

That storm was NUTS. There was a tornado sighting in Annapolis and our power went out twice.

I can't believe you remember Lauren's back scar. I thought you were too young. I guess mom likes to bring it up as proof of dangers "out there."

It took me a while to remember that vine swing. Mom showed it to me initially. One of the few times she acted like a kid with me.

see, i didn't even know she had a scar. I remember it cause i remember when it happened. either, i was there, or was there when you came in after it happened. something like that, but i always thought about it when i went under that fence so i would MAKE SURE to duck low enough haha.
