079. today ;; woohyun/sunggyu
There is no tomorrow, no yesterday, and there is only today.
There’s uncertainty in every step and the figure that seems to watch from a distant is a constant reminder: you’re not alone, there’s someone out there; watching you, waiting for you, anticipating your downfall. The skies are no longer ruled by blue; gray is a blanket.
Sunggyu pulls his arms around himself, teeth chattering and the bitter cold is harsh against his skin. The cloth covering him is thin, he doesn’t remember when the last time he had a shower was, he had new clothes, he had felt silk fibers brush against his skin and he knows: there was no yesterday. Days before now were but mere memories.
He braces himself, feeling a shiver run down his spine when he feels eyes on him. He doesn’t angle his head back, his fingernails dig deeper into his skin and he starts to stand up and walk. There is nothing but blankness lying in front of him and he knows as well: there is no tomorrow.
He feels a gun pressed to his forehead and he finally turns back. He meets eyes with the figure who had been watching him and he realizes -- he recognizes those eyes. It’s the eyes belonging to that of Nam Woohyun: his ex-coworker, his ex-friend and his what-could-have-been, future boyfriend. There’s a shot that rings clear in the air and there’s crimson over sand.
There had been today.
092. magic ;; dongwoo/sungyeol
“Trust me, hyung, it’d feel and work like magic,” Sungyeol breathes out, mouth too close to Dongwoo’s ear for comfort and he offers pills: one, two, three, and places it on Dongwoo’s palm. There’s a smirk on Sungyeol’s face as he looks into Dongwoo’s eyes, all knowingly. “Magic, hyung. Don’t you want to know what magic is like?”
Dongwoo looks at Sungyeol, eyes hesitant but his fingers curl and Sungyeol is delighted. He presses his lips to Dongwoo’s face, breathing through his nose and there’s an unnatural red hue over his cheeks. Sungyeol sticks out his tongue, licking Dongwoo’s cheek, all while whispering words that sound like ‘do it’ into Dongwoo’s ear.
Dongwoo presses the pills against his lips, drowning them down with a single gulp and Sungyeol giggles. Dongwoo starts to feel different: the world is a rainbow, his limbs are lighter, his throat is dry and he suddenly feels so happy.
“How does it feel?” Sungyeol’s voice is a muffle and Dongwoo can barely comprehend him but he manages to.
“It feels like magic.”
