It was Tuesday the following week when HyukJae ran into school practically flying. “I got the job!” He exclaimed when he found KyuHyun and DongHae outside. KyuHyun blinked when a letter from the café was shoved into his face. “Er… Good job?”
DongHae was much more ecstatic than KyuHyun was. “Great Hyukkie! Then we’ll all get to work in the same place!” In the short time DongHae had been in school, he and HyukJae had instantly became good friends. He gave HyukJae a large hug.
“See at least someone’s happy for me,” HyukJae said, eyeing KyuHyun.
“I AM happy for you,” KyuHyun protested. The three of them walked inside.
“So where’s your boyfriend, Kyu?” HyukJae asked. KyuHyun frowned lightly. “He’s sick today, with a very high fever.” Anyone could tell he was worried about the boy.
“He’ll be fine, he’s stronger than he looks. You know that,” HyukJae said, knowing how deeply KyuHyun cared for RyeoWook. The boy nodded, thoughts still on his little lover back in their apartment.
Classes went by very fast. Soon it was lunch, and DongHae was exploring around the school again, looking for his friends. Hearing soft music soming from one of the empty classrooms, he trotted over and peeked in. His mouth fell open slightly.
It was HanKyung, the Chinese exchange student. He was dancing to a Chinese song, body moving like a ballerina. He just looked so graceful, making the complicated steps look so easy. DongHae was instantly captivated, and burst into the room. “HanKyung hyung!”
HanKyung turned around, surprised. “Oh… DongHae ah…” He shut off the music, shifting a bit from foot to foot, embarrassed. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were around.”
“You dance so well!” DongHae blurted out. “It was like you had no bones at all! How do you do it like that? I-I mean, I dance too, but I’m nowhere near that good!”
HanKyung smiled faintly at the whirlwind of compliments. “Thanks,” He said softly. “I took ballet for a couple years, but other than that I haven’t had any real training.”
“Omo, really?” DongHae was stunned. “But you’re so good!”
“… Thanks?”
“Can you show me the last move you were doing? The hip thrust one? That looks like fun!”
HanKyung smiled faintly as DongHae bounced over, all energy. “Alright.”
He and HanKyung practiced the various moves he had done, DognHae showing him a few of his own. His favorite was the hip thrust one that Hannie showed him, and did it over and over again when HanKyung turned the music back on.
They didn’t know they had an audience until a soft voice said, “They’re so talented, aren’t they?”
Looking towards the door, they saw a tall boy with glasses and his hair tied in a ponytail, along with HyukJae and SiWon. DongHae instantly gave a small ‘eep’ noise and studied the ground at his feet, face growing hot.
HyukJae came over. “I didn’t know you two could dance too! And that was very, very good!” He thought for a moment, before clapping his hands together. “We should form a dance club!”
“Dance club?” Chorused HanKyung and DongHae, the latter peeking up from under his bangs as he was too shy in front of SiWon to look up fully.
“Sounds like fun…” The taller boy said. “Oh, I’m LeeTeuk by the way. I’m not that good of a dancer, but can I try too?”
“I wouldn’t mind learning as well,” SiWon added, stepping into the room. “Since HanKyung is already teaching me Chinese, perhaps DongHae hyung could be my dance teacher?” He smiled at DongHae, who thanked the lord he had sturdy legs, or he would be a puddle on the floor right now.
“Uh, s-sure SiWon sshi!”
“It’s just SiWon, you don’t have to be so formal,” SiWon said gently, and DongHae nodded his head up and down.
“Okay, looks like we’ve got a dance club starting!” HyukJae cheered.

They told everyone else about it at the end of the day. YeSung was skeptical, but SungMin instantly became a life-sized energizer bunny, demanding that they let him join. And so, YeSung was dragged in whether he wanted to or not, to keep SungMin from potentially injuring himself. HeeChul walking by overheard, and decided no dance club would be complete without him. “What would you ever do without me to liven things up?” He asked, rolling his eyes a bit as HyukJae mouthed ‘uh-oh’ to DongHae.
KyuHyun shook his head a bit. “I don’t dance, I sing,” He said softly. But he still promised to ask RyeoWook if he wanted to be part of the dance club.
KiBum when asked, opened his mouth to refuse at first. Then he caught a glimpse of DongHae and HyukJae play-fighting and knocking each other around on the grass, laughing (SiWon had left for a meeting so DongHae was able to behave normally again). Instantly a surge of jealously ran through him, and before he knew what he was doing he was agreeing.
Later, he knuckled his forehead with a soft growl. What did he agree for? Sure, DongHae had been pretty close to HyukJae, but that was normal, they were close to becoming best friends. While DognHae and KiBum on the other hand had barely spend any time together, because KiBum always seemed to find an excuse to be away, even though he wanted to spend time with the alien boy. So in the end, he decided he just wanted to spend more time with DongHae, and that his sudden change of heart had absolutely nothing to do with how HyukJae had hung all over DongHae with that monkey grin of his.
SungMin offered to make posters to advertise the new club (and YeSung offered to keep an eye on him so the posters didn’t end up pink). SiWon registered the club with the school. LeeTeuk seemed to have put himself as the leader, though he didn’t know a thing about dancing. “I’m the oldest,” He protested when the others complained. “You children need someone to look after you!” And while it was decided that for appearances sake LeeTeuk would be the leader, in reality none of them listened to a word he said.
That night when KyuHyun returned home, the first thing he did was check with RyeoWook. The boy was sleeping, face flushed. Placing a hand to his forehead, KyuHyun winced. He was hot. Far too hot.
He went into the kitchen, filling a glass with water and bringing it to the bedside. Sitting down beside his boyfriend, he stroked the boy’s hair gently. RyeoWook tossed and turned in his sleep, breath hitching in his throat as a bead of sweat slightly down the side of his face. “K… Kyu…” He whimpered softly in his sleep. “Don’t leave… Don’t leave me…”
KyuHyun took his hand and clasped it in both of his. “It’s okay Wookie, I’m right here,” He said softly. He continued to repeat this until RyeoWook calmed down again. But his fever continued to rise.
Frowning in worry, KyuHyun finally went to the phone, and dialed in a number. “Hello… Doctor? RyeoWook’s sick. Very sick.”
