Took today and tommorrow off of work to get stuff done at home.  Things started with an early call by Orkin to get rid of the OMG ANT INVASION!  that had been going on for some days.   We've had so much rain in the last 2 months that they're being flooded out of their hills and are coming inside.  NOT COOL.

Went to get my hair cut and decided to go

I'm glad to hear things are looking up for you. What you say at the end of your post is so true... sometimes it's the only thing!

Great news about Minxie! You know, my girl Winnie was allergic to chicken... once we pinned it down, she went from being a skinny rat-looking thing to a great lazy shiny fat housecat. We were feeding her Wellness, in the red bag (Salmon and something). If it's a chicken allergy, get vigilant about labels - I had one kibble that she loved, and the %#%$#^ manufacturers changed the formula unannounced and started adding chicken (it was "duck and rice" or some such). After that I read labels every time I bought a new bag.

Ants... eeeek! We get that at the peak of summer, when they get dry and thirsty, but also when they're flooded out in winter. Good luck.
