no offense to my darling roomate(s) but i love being alone. i was a cleaning fool today. i cleaned the bathroom and kitchen including mopping the floors. i cooked dinner (steak and corn and bread) and baked a cobbler with the apples from the yard. i washed $20 worth of clothes and shipped my brother's late birthday package to him ( Read more... )

Hi I just thought I would introduce myselfI am Christa and I can't wait to make it back to Boone!
My hubby and I hope we can move that way around October or so. Not sure how we are going to find an apartment that late in the year but I guess if it is meant to be it will be.
I lived in Boone for about 2 years and had one great apartment over off the 105 bypass and one horrible one over by the Hospital.
I know they have built some nice new ones around I have just never had the chance to check any of them out.
I finally settled at Business Education with a minor in English. So despite my 3 or so years of classes at ASU and some CC's I still have about 2 1/2 yrs to go.
Looking forward to getting to boone and meeting new people!

i know you're dying to get back; it's so great. my apt. hunting is not going well so good luck on your search. i enjoyed my five years of college (ECU, English) hope you do too. would be happy to copy-edit your papers. *smiling*

i created a multi-discipinary minor that involved reading all of the so-called great books of literature-machiavelli, plutarch, plato, socrates, you know the stuff. my friend invited me to boone for the summer to house-sit with her. her boyfriend is back now and they are breaking up, but i think he is going to let me stay for a while-everything is too expensive here for me to move out right now. when you get here don't forget to stop by the antique mall downtown. that's where i spend my days. beautiful days ahead for you.
