Living in the Desert

Jan 20, 2006 08:32

In December, people told me that it was the coldest L.A. got, because January and February were the "rainy season". Of course, checking the weather report, the average precipitation in January is 4 inches, and so far, we've got only 1 inch, with none predicted until the end of next week.

I need to get a humidifier.

Yeah, the weather is screwy everywhere.

We only had that one snowstorm. And have had weekly peeks at spring with random 60-degree days.

I moved from NH to AZ... I need about nine humidifiers.

If you think LA is bad, try living 2 hours due east. Norwegians and deserts don't mix all that well.

Neither do lowland New Englanders and high-altitude deserts. I have to stuff my nose full of Vaseline an average of 4 times per day just to prevent nosebleeds.
