Yes, but the Superbowl isn't really near the holidays; it is a holiday in and of itself.

I was referring to college bowls. College football is generally more interesting anyway, and the players are usually more humble because their coaches don't have to worry about free-agency and other crap, so they can tear a showy player a new asshole.

The Super Bowl is pretty much irrelevant now that YouTube will have all of the commercials within an hour of the game being over. Even the advertisers have clued-in; they'll be the first to upload the commercials.
