Co-sleeping

How is it that with one less person in the bed I still have the same five inches of space? Not necessarily complaining as we tradition to a big girl bed but still. I keep switching sides - cause I can- and the same elbow finds the same spot in my ribs.

That is why I can't sleep with a kid in the bed. We have a king size bed, so there's plenty of room. but I always manage to get pushed off the bed.
