The Music Industry is like a giant dumpster truck that swallows and grinds up every single decent band out there into a pile of ash and fluff. i like green day, not only because of american idiot and boulevard. im extremely excited and looking forward to their concert here in sept. i agree with you on the rap thing - i really dislike rap. i dont even consider it music.

i don't really agree with that. There are very different types of rap if you listen around. Sure the majority induces profanity, but you know. The rap life has been evolving more and more to be less corrupted than it was before in the late 90's

That's true
A lot of rap artists are using their songs and power to get important messages across but what a lot of teens around me are listening to is the more degrading stuff.
And that’s what I was writing about.

And Tupac wrote songs about how guys had to treat a woman right.

Yeah, that's very true. Mainstream rap generally irritates me because it revolves around sex, drugs, crime and women. However, when rap was first made, it was more about poverty, difference, state of the world i.e. it had a point. Some rap artists still do that, but these artists tend to be relegated to the sidelines.
