I'm so excited!

6 more hours to the final.

Spain is favourite, but in this tournament, that never meant anything. Ask the Dutch. Or the Czech. Or Portugal, France, Italy.

So, I have hope.

Go, Germany!

Hee.

Being an American, I'm just going, "Huh?" in regards to the worldwide fascination with this soccer thing.

My German friend and I were setting a phone date, on Thursday, and I suggested that we speak this weekend.

Her response was, "You don't know, because you're ignorant, but Germany is [insert soccer talk here] on Sunday."

She's right. Totally ignorant.

It's funny how the U.S. just doesn't care about all this soccer stuff.

Hee. It's a mystery to me, too, how you guys manage not to care about football/soccer. It's just the est game ever.

All the pubs, bars, restaurants, heck, every single public place in the whole country plus countless living rooms in private homes will be packed with fans tonight. If we win, the whole country might just explode with joy. Seriously. We were 3rd during the worldcup two years ago, and people went crazy for weeks.

After winning the semi-final earlier this week, there were fireworks and processions of cars pretty much all night long.

But, I have to admit, Spain is certainly the best team of this tournament, so I can't be too disappointed if they win.

It's a pity that you aren't here right now, you'd get a blast of european culture par excellence.d

Hah, that were actually the two best games of the cup: Holland-Italy and Holland-France. Well, those two and Germany-Portugal.

almost perfect German! One of the stattliche Männer is actually from my little village, I went to school with him.

Hat leider alles nichts genützt, aber danke für Deine Unterstützung! Und Zweiter zu werden, ist ja auch nicht das schlechteste. Besser als Italien auf jeden Fall.;-)
