I had to make my journal Friends Only too. I hated doing it, because I know there are people who might bounce to my journal and be a cool person i would like to be frinds with. But...it was necassary. i actually had someone get my name and address off a Christmas card list and impersonate me. They contacted real estate companys and said I wanted to sell my house, etc. That was the nexus where I realized I could keep my journal open no more.

I had something like that happen about 2 years ago. my got into my amazon account and bought more than 450$ in junk and charged it to me. I got paranoid then and made all my stuff private, changed my passwords ect. the internet can be a scary thing.

nothing happened.. just got a new friends only post thingy.. my old one was posted in 2003... thought it was a good idea to get a new one lol.
