deep down i want to believe that things will fall into place. that when i stop looking, the right things will find me.

I believe that. I also believe everything happens for a reason, and everyone comes in and out of our lives to teach us something. But we talked about that once, I know you know. :)

Sometimes the ass kicking moments do not come fast, but kinda subtly slip into your life. In the meantime, you can still live your life like a movie. Even movies have disappointing endings!

i guess you're right.

i watched a super cheese ball movie last night and found these moments of surprise, passion and excitement. they all were surrounded by this grand idea of love, whether it be between people or just for life in general.

i miss having that. and i want that spring in my step again.

it's bound to happen sooner or later, right?

Yes it is! It really is.

One time, I watched The Notebook. Everyone loved it. It's a beautiful story, right? Moments of passion and stuff like that. Eternal love.

I HATED IT. I ranted for like an hour about movies like this planting unrealistic expectations about love into people's heads, and how life doesn't work that way, and blah blah blah! Never trust the damn screen!!! GRRRR!

I know you aren't letting movies do that to you, it is just early and I am ranting.

It IS bound to happen sooner or later, though.

the end of that movie makes me sob, only because we went through a similar experience with my grandmother when she died of brain cancer. it was REALLY hard to watch.

i've only seen it once.

but yes, the love story was beautiful and passionate. all i want is that one kiss in the rain on the dock. i don't even want the love story.

simple, little things that turn out to not be so simple after all. ha
