Couldn't Help Myself - Season 2, Episode 1

supernutjapan said to watch the first episode of Supernatural season two, In My Time of Dying, immediately after the end of season one, so I did. To say it was gut wrenching is putting it mildly. So many unexpected twists and so much love and concern among the Winchesters. A couple of things made me laugh so it wasn't a totally sad episode. I don't know how ( Read more... )

That is my other favorite episode. It's heartbreaking and beautiful and so wonderfully done. And Tessa, love her.

Oh yes, Tessa was good. They use so many actors/actresses on this show that I've never heard of. I wonder how many of them got their careers on track because of appearances on Supernatural.

Did you watch The X-Files? A lot of the crew from TXF, like Kim Manners, work on SPN now. There's quite a bit of guest-star crossover, actually. William B. Davis, the Cigarette-Smoking Man, from TXF was in "Scarecrow," for instance.

There are a lot of guests that I'd never heard of and haven't since, and some that I've randomly seen pop up in other stuff. It's an interesting mix.

No, I didn't watch The X-Files, but now that I've seen "The Fall" (Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson) I plan to watch it when they bring it back. I don't know how similar it will be to the first series, but I'll give it a try.

Yessss! A beautiful, highly emotional episode. Loved it! The yellow-eyed demon was really creepy and it was so cool the way John never flinched from the task at hand.

I thought it was so smart of Jared to think of the Ouija board. The dropped coffee when he ran to John was cool, loved the way the camera captured it.

It's hard to stop with just one episode, isn't it?

What an understatement. It's like eating potato chips.

This episode is sad and so well done. I just love the conversation at the end between Dean and the Reaper. Her telling him how he's not the first soldier he's plucked from the field. Those scenes are so well done.

I just realized which season finale was season 1. I can't believe the car accident was that early. That is one of the finales I remember the most because I was so shocked.

Oh man. I forgot that season 2 starts off with John dying. That was way back then? I thought it was like season 4 or something. So much time has pasts.

Man I miss these boys early on.

Yes, all the episodes must kind of run together for those of you who have been watching for 10 seasons.
