It sure is. Makes me wonder if the air is fit to breathe. I don't see how they can get the water safe in time.

There was a bit on the news this week about this issue but no real solution offered. The host country of course said they'd have it all under control by next year.

Yeah, naturally, but I don't see how it can happen. I wonder what they'll do if the athletes refuse to take part in the water events.

Yes, that thought occurred to me, too. Air pollution there is so bad in Beijing people are encouraged to wear surgical type masks when out on the street.
